Welcome To The Ghost City Gauntlet

SPEAKER_00

All right, it's everybody's favorite game show. Welcome back to another installment of the Ghost City Gauntlet. Here's your host, Tim Nealan. Yay.

Tim Nealon

All right, guys, we are back with uh with Jay Wazley, actually. Um now, Jay, I I think we kind of went over with a gist of this. Um now to give you a slight warning, these are not my questions. Paul and Carter write these questions, and most of the time, half of them were stupid. Um so if it's a stupid question, don't blame me. But yeah, just just one-word answers, one sentence answers, just first thing that pops to mind. All

Favorite Paranormal Words And Reactions

Tim Nealon

right. Question number one What is your favorite paranormal word?

Jay Wasley

Uh oh fuck.

Tim Nealon

Okay. That's two words, but we're gonna take it. Yeah. Uh all right. Well, that leads us right into question number two. Curse word, you're more most likely to yell out when getting scared.

Jay Wasley

I mean, I tend to say, fuck. Honestly, it's kind of funny. I won't go off too quick because I know it's quick. I'm a laugher. Like, I laugh sometimes when I get terrified. Like, you know, there's you know, like I've gotten people like, why are you laughing? I'm like, I don't know. Like it's just something terrified happens. I just start laughing. It's like a weird, maybe a coping mechanism.

Tim Nealon

That's what I do when the police get behind me. I'm like, like a nervous laugh. I'm like, they're not gonna pull me over. Uh all right. Number three, what's the weirdest excuse someone's ever given you to explain away paranormal evidence?

Jay Wasley

Uh probably just delusion. Like you're just crazy. Like it just didn't happen. It's like, no, it definitely happened.

Tim Nealon

They're gaslighting

Childhood Fears And The Jersey Devil

Tim Nealon

you. Um, number four, what's your biggest childhood fear? Uh probably heights. Oh, yeah. There's actually, I I'm gonna I know I'm supposed to keep this short. I actually had an experience out at uh Valley of Fire because I'm terrified of heights. My kid, who was probably eight, nine, ten at the time, walked up the edge of one of those big cliffs, and I had to like, I am terrified of heights. I it took me so much of them like yelling at my kid, get back here, get back here. And he was like, No, no, no. And I eventually walked out there and pulled him back, but it was so dramatic, like as if he was getting ready to fall over the edge.

Jay Wasley

Yeah. And they're in the same way. I love them. I love heights, I love the views, but my like I've gotten better, but originally, like my legs start shaking. Like, I just my body is just like, nope, you shouldn't be up here.

Tim Nealon

Do you have that voice in your head that's like, just jump, just jump. Like, I swear to God, I have that. Like, all right, these guys are yelling at me to or they they're like, Tim, pray the fuck up. Um, number six five. Oh, okay. What famous haunting fascinates you the most?

Jay Wasley

Oh man, there's so many. Um I don't know. Uh I think I go back to my childhood and just the idea of the Jersey Devil, like that lore was always something that stuck with me. And, you know, I would love to be able to go back there and explore that more sometime.

Showing Fear Honestly On Investigations

Tim Nealon

Uh, we could probably help make that happen. Um, number seven, how often on an investigation have you been scared and had to hide it?

Jay Wasley

Uh never had to hide it. Um, scared often. Uh never have to hide it though. We show it as it is. You know, if we're terrified of a piss my pants, you're gonna know about it.

Tim Nealon

All right. Well, that leads us into the next one. What paranormal phenomenon scares you the most?

Jay Wasley

Uh, I think when something actually touches you physically. Uh there was a point where I actually got dragged backwards by my feet uh and in crawl space. And when something actually can physically touch you and move you, is takes it to a whole other level.

Tim Nealon

Yeah, that happened to me. I I started to get pulled out of bed once and I was like, fuck this.

When Something Touches You Back

Tim Nealon

Um number nine, if you were a ghost, where would you haunt? That's assuming that you ghosts are only tied to one location. But I you know, I don't know, where would you haunt, Jay?

Jay Wasley

Uh that's a good question. Thank you. I wish I would hope I could travel because I'm not one to stay in one spot. You know, I definitely feel I'm a nomad traveler. Um if I had to just pick one spot, maybe like uh, you know, a nice resort in a Caribbean island or something.

Tim Nealon

It doesn't sound too bad.

Jay Wasley

Right.

Dream Haunts Bone Church And Cryptids

Tim Nealon

Okay. Number 10. What is your white whale paranormal investigation location that you would like to investigate that you haven't yet?

Jay Wasley

Uh there's a spot. I always forget the name. There's a uh it's an old church in the Czech Republic in Prague that's made completely out of human bones. Uh I forget the name of it, but that place I always wanted to go to and investigate.

Tim Nealon

Yeah, I don't know the name of it either, but I know I I can picture it in my head. I know exactly which one you're talking about. That's one of those things that you can't really get out of your head once you see it.

Jay Wasley

Kutna Hora Bone Church. What is it? Kutna Hora Bone Church. Wow, there you go.

unknown

Yeah.

Jay Wasley

All the nose. Or maybe not.

Tim Nealon

And I'm gonna guess I already know the answer to this one. Number 11, what cryptid would you most want to have a drink with?

Jay Wasley

I mean, I guess ultimately I want to hang out with an alien. I don't know if they fall into cryptid. They're kind of, you know, kind of their own little thing. Um, I think it'd be cool. Sit down with Bigfoot, but honestly, I think like I think a leprechaun would be fun to drink with. I think they would be like a notch.

Tim Nealon

I might out drink you. Being little Irish, little folks. Wait, is it Irish or is it Scottish? Irish. They are? Okay. Okay.

Tesla Aliens And The Big Ask

Tim Nealon

Uh number 12. If you could talk to one spirit from history, who would it be?

Jay Wasley

Uh I would love to have a chat with uh actually honestly Nikola Tesla. Because I think he was on the verge of discovering things that no one else has ever discovered and really even pursue completely. Uh so I'd love to chat with him and find out more about you know this whole 369 and everything he was talking about.

Tim Nealon

It's like point me in the right direction, Nicola.

Jay Wasley

Yeah.

Tim Nealon

Um number 13. Jeez, what what would you ask a space alien? Number 13.

Jay Wasley

Can I come with you?

Tim Nealon

Good question. Would you really want to go though? Like if they're like sure up on.

Jay Wasley

Yeah, I mean, I would be terrified of the heights. Like the actual part of the, you know, lifting off Earth and stuff would be terrifying, but I would 100% I would love to just be able to go and even if they're like, you can't come back?

Tim Nealon

We're like, we're not coming back to Earth. If you get on, you're not coming back.

Jay Wasley

Maybe not. It depends what point of my life I'm in. Right now, no, I'm I'm happy and I love my life and what's going on and the people I'm involved with and things. So like you know, I want to want to leave that world, you know. But good deal. Yeah. If I could come back, I would totally go for a little bit.

Afterlife Hopes And Being Remembered

Tim Nealon

Yeah, like a day, weekend, long, long weekend. Uh number 14, when you arrive on the other side, I'm assuming that means when you die.

Jay Wasley

Correct.

Tim Nealon

Uh what do you hope to hear?

Jay Wasley

Um I think like a lot of people, and not to get mushy, but I think it would be great to be able to hear voices of people that I lost, that people were friends and family that you know moved on before me and be able to kind of be reunited with them would be a beautiful experience.

Tim Nealon

And uh number 15. So when when it is finally your turn to go, um, what do you hope that people most remember about you and your story? That's not that's not a quick answer, by the way, guys. If you want quick answers, like Well, we're also trying to hit the algorithm, we get to like seven to ten minutes.

Jay Wasley

So I think uh I don't know, I think I want to leave, you know, the term legacy is weird. It sounds like way bigger than what it really is, but I know I want to leave people thinking that I was a real person, you know, I was true to myself, I was a good person, you know. I try to help people, I try to be there for people, I try to, you know, see the kindness, you know, and like this world is fucked up. And, you know, I have times through my life where I'm like, man, this place is so messed up, but I've always still have hope in humanity and I see the good in people. And I think if we all nurture that together, we can actually get out of a lot of the bullshit we're in.

Tim Nealon

Absolutely. I agree 100%. All right, Jay. Well, thanks for joining us on the Ghost City Gauntlet. Gauntlet. Gauntlet. It was closer that time.

Where To Follow Jay And Closing

Tim Nealon

Yeah, it was. So, Jay, if people want to know a little bit more about you, other than those 15 ridiculous questions, where could they go? Yeah.

Jay Wasley

Yeah, they can find out uh much more about me uh through most likely social media is the best channel, which is uh Instagram, Facebook, TikTok is all Jay Wazley Film. And on X, I'm Jay Wazley. Uh also my company, I guess, is uh SimpleEquations Media.com. So kind of the stuff I do on a business sense, you know, apart from that is there. Uh through my social media, you know, you can find there's links in my bio for my band. I have a coffee company called Sands Coffee. You can, you know, with links, you can buy coffee from there. Um, yeah. So pretty much everything I do I post on there to keep you guys all up to date.

Tim Nealon

Sounds like you're a busy guy. Oh yeah.

Jay Wasley

Never stop.

Tim Nealon

Well, we're gonna let you go just in case you want to get some uh well, what is it? I guess it's early afternoon where you're at. So Yeah, uh it's still kind of early.

Jay Wasley

Maybe not time for a poker tournament tonight.

Tim Nealon

So yeah, that oh yeah, you did mention that.

Jay Wasley

All right and the golden knights are playing, so be watching that at the same time.

Tim Nealon

I think I'm gonna go with the hurricanes tonight. I don't know. I just got a feeling. We'll see. I don't know. Whoever wins the whoever wins tonight is probably gonna win the series. I'm gonna put it that way.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. We'll have to we'll have to put the winner at the bottom of the the screen when this comes out in two weeks. Yeah, seriously. Exactly.

Tim Nealon

All right, well, uh all right, well, we're done with that.
